Job Summary
Manager of Health and Safety reports to the Director of Human Resources and collaborates with the Health and Safety Committees of the Six Nations of the Grand River. The role coordinates, recommends, and implements the Health & Safety Program, ensuring compliance with policy, guidelines, procedures, and legislation for the employee workplace.
Basic Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree or a Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Five (5) years of current work-related experience in occupational health and safety management.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (COHS), or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation is considered an asset.
- Joint Health and Safety Certification (JHSC) – Part 1 and 2.
- Ergonomic Training is considered an asset.
