Job Description
We are seeking an Accountant to support transactional accounting and reconciliation activities within a retail-focused environment. This is a 6-month contract (with potential extension), starting May 2026. The role involves handling settlement reconciliations, accounts payable processing, journal entries, and supporting financial reporting activities across multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile settlement files from third-party providers with recorded transactions
- Ensure accuracy of cash receipts and process payments accordingly
- Perform detailed reconciliation of AP invoices and submit for payment
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues with third-party vendors
- Monitor receivable balances and follow up on outstanding items
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (credit cards, loyalty, gift cards)
