**Schedule**
PRN: PRN employee, to work no less than 12-hour per month after completing orientation. Orientation can work up to FTE to complete orientation
**General Summary**
Responds to EMS calls and performs a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients suffering from urgent and emergent disease and/or injury states in accordance with appropriate rules, regulations, and protocols. according to PA DOH EMS Act and scope of practice.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Responds to EMS calls whether emergency or routine transport, observes safety policies and operates an emergency vehicle with due regard for others.
+ Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members.
+ Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment.
+ Prepares, hangs, monitors, and discontinues I.V. fluids.
