About the Position
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta is seeking a full‑time tenure‑track Assistant or Associate Professor in cybersecurity.
Applicants should have research expertise in applied information security across software, systems, hardware, and AI/agentic systems, including but not limited to system security, hardware security, secure architectures, embedded and IoT security, post‑quantum cryptography, cyber‑physical systems, human‑centric security, zero‑trust systems, and digital sovereignty.
Responsibilities
- Teaching (40%): Participate in classroom teaching, supervise student research, provide personal interaction with students, and advising. Course content and methodology may be decided by the faculty member, subject to departmental and university approval.
