Job Description
The office of the Montana Consumer Counsel is a legislative agency created by the Montana Constitution to represent the interests of Montana utility consumers in proceedings before the Public Service Commission. The office presents comments and testimony in the areas of finance, economics, accounting, engineering, and law. Procedures to be used in evaluating applicants’ qualifications may include but are not limited to an evaluation of: the State of Montana Employment Application; education, training and experience; a structured oral interview, writing samples and reference checks; and responses to supplemental questions (see below). Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. The selected applicant may be required to complete a one-year performance appraisal/probationary employment period.
