Project Specialist II (Building Products)
Location: Remote (Canada) — If located close to QAI’s offices (Toronto, ON or Burnaby, BC), the role would be in‑office.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000 annually.
Duties
- Plan review drawings and documents relating to buildings to determine compliance with the relevant Building Codes and standards.
- Become familiar with the Building Codes of Canada, National Plumbing Code, National Gas Code, and the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Write concise, detailed, accurate, and objective reports.
- Travel throughout Canada and the USA to perform inspections at manufacturing sites.
- Perform testing, witness testing, prepare reports, or review reports to evaluate building products to nationally recognized building safety standards (CSA, UL, ASTM, etc.).
