Job Description
- Fabricate windows, doors, staircases, cabinets, shop counters, and display units from raw timber in a workshop environment
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation methods
- Source and select appropriate timber and other materials, and prepare work layouts
- Cut, measure, shape, and fit timber parts with precision to form finished structures and fittings
- Build and install structural elements and fixtures using timber, plywood, and wallboard materials
- Erect structural frameworks and roof trusses, lay sub-flooring and finished floorboards, and ensure all structures are true and level
- Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior wall cladding, and door/window frames
- Assemble prefabricated timber parts into complete structures or fittings ready for installation
- Construct concrete formwork where needed
