THE POSITION
- Manages highly complex Commercial General Liability claim investigations, including coverage issues, liability, compensability, and damages
- Determines when claims should be settled or litigated and implements appropriate resolution strategies
- Effectively manages loss costs and claim expenses
- Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel and attorneys
- Provides recommendations to management regarding complex CGL claim strategies, processes, and resolution approaches
- Maintains current knowledge of provincial/federal regulations, industry trends, and emerging risks impacting CGL claims
