The Child Abuse Pediatrician - Medical Director has the authority and responsibility for the medical services at the Spurwink Center for Safe and Healthy Families. The Center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of professionals including Psychologists, Social Workers, Pediatricians, and Nurse Practitioners who provide child-friendly, expert evaluations of children who may have been abused.
DUTIES:
+ Performs medical evaluations of children at the Spurwink Center for Safe and Healthy Families for various forms of abuse (program sees approximately 1200 children a year from throughout the state).
+ Performs medical evaluations of children at assigned outlying clinic in Lewiston, Bangor, and Augusta, Maine.
+ Performs medical exams for the Children's Advocacy Centers.
