Responsibilities:
Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on long-haul routes, primarily on theDempster Highway to Inuvik, with flexibility to go to other points in the Manitoulin network.Ensure safe and timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all transportation regulations and company policiesPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain truck safety and complianceAccurately complete and maintain all required documentation, inspection reports, and delivery receiptsUse an Electronic Logging Device to maintain hours of serviceNavigate challenging road conditions, including gravel roads, ice roads, and mountain passesManage load securement and weight distribution to ensure safe transportCommunicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers using various communication toolsPerform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed...
