Example of Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages through integrated drug distribution, clinical services, and provision of drug information. S/he collaborates with medical and nursing staff to ensure high quality, safe medication management. S/he ensures that all medication standards as documented in standard operating procedures and/or state/federal regulations are maintained. The Pharmacist also shares professional responsibility for oversight of Pharmacy Technicians’ work to ensure accuracy and timeliness of pharmaceutical preparations.
