We are hiring: Project Cost Engineer – Interior Trim Systems (Automotive)
We are looking for a Project Cost Engineer to join the Interior Systems team supporting the MEX VCP Uplift “BOT” Program for a leading global OEM. This role focuses on cost estimation, analysis, and optimization for interior trim components within vehicle programs.
Technical Scope
- Develop detailed should-cost models for interior trim components and assemblies
- Perform bottom-up cost analysis including raw material, labor, overhead, scrap, tooling, and logistics
- Evaluate plastic injection molding, thermoforming, wrapping, painting, and assembly processes to identify cost drivers
- Conduct supplier quotation analysis (RFQ) and validate commercial proposals against technical assumptions
