Customer Representative Specialist
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is hiring temporary Customer Representative Specialists to work 8 am–5 pm Monday through Thursday at the following locations:
- Augusta – 1 position
- Bangor – 2 positions
- Kennebunk – 1 position
- Lewiston – 1 position
- Portland – 1 position
- Scarborough – 1 position
- Springvale – 1 position
- Topsham – 1 position
Pay: $19.76 per hour.
Typical Duties
- Assist customers with motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses and permits, State IDs (including Real ID), voter registrations, license plates, handicap placards, and title applications.
- Review legal documentation to verify residency, legal presence, insurance coverage, and eligibility requirements.
- Explain motor vehicle laws, rules, regulations, and bureau policies to the public.
