Position: Data Governance Intern
Department: Information Security
Location: 6300 Steeles Ave West, Woodbridge, ON
Hourly Rate: $19/h
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of enterprise data catalogues (metadata capture, definitions, lineage and ownership)
- Work with data stewards and data owners to document data elements, business rules, and data quality considerations
- Prepare presentations, status updates, and supporting materials for the Data Governance Council and related forums
- Support projects to ingest and onboard new data sources by coordinating metadata requirements and documenting source‑to‑target details
- Use SQL and/or Python to assist with metadata profiling, basic analysis, and validation to support cataloging and data quality efforts
- Enjoy learning and contributing to 407 ETR’s data maturity transformation
