Become a vital part of the camp experience as a Day Camp Counsellor with YMCA Simcoe/Muskoka. Engage campers every day, ensuring their safety and well-being while delivering fun programs.
This role supports campers by providing dynamic programming and supervision. Counsellors lead activities, interact positively, and must adapt to varying skill levels of children aged 6-12. A commitment to inclusion, safety, and community is essential in this energetic role.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead daily programs and swim with campers • Ensure camper safety and provide care • Offer exceptional service to campers and parents • Complete necessary administrative paperwork • Adapt duties to support camp operations
Requirements: • Minimum 16 years old by December 31, 2026 • Standard First Aid and CPR C certification • Experience with children in camp settings • Criminal Record Check for those 18+ years • Commitment to the YMCA values and mission
