Responsibilities

• Delivering didactic, pre‑clinical, and clinical teaching
• Supervising student research projects
• Initiating, leading, and participating in innovative research programs
• Competing successfully for internal and external funding
• Undertaking relevant administrative activities

Qualifications

• Must hold a DDS or DMD (or equivalent)
• Research expertise in oral microbiology and oral biology is preferred
• Postdoctoral training is considered an asset
• Effective classroom teaching skills, strong mentoring abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills are desirable attributes

Salary

Salary information for this position for the academic year: Assistant Professor: $110,489 to $131,909. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is usually common and possible in the College of Dentistry.
