Detailed Overview

Reporting to the Supervisor/Site Coordinator, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, small parts, and echocardiography ultrasound examinations. The role includes receiving requisitions, entering data, preparing patients, conducting examinations with ultrasound and Doppler techniques, performing venipuncture for contrast media when directed, and participating in committees and research projects.
