Dietary Aide – Casual/on‑call position
This is a casual/relief position with no set schedule or hours. Shifts could be anytime from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on any day of the week.
Responsibilities
- Assist the cook with coordination of food preparation and service in the kitchen.
- Prepare sufficient amounts of food for residents, guests and catered functions according to the established menu rotation.
- Store perishable food and avoid waste as per the established guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, carts, pans, pots, dishes, serving areas, tables and trays.
- Operate basic equipment, including the dishwasher.
- Ensure cleanliness of cooking equipment and work area through established cleaning and sanitation practices.
