Overview
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the finance and accounting function for a large‑scale manufacturing operation in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role will oversee financial reporting, costing, operational analysis, budgeting, and internal controls, while acting as a key business partner to operational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead all plant finance and accounting activities, including month‑end close, reporting, and financial analysis
- Oversee and participate in cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Prepare and review monthly financial and management reporting packages
- Analyze production costs, raw material usage, labour, and operational efficiencies
- Partner with operations leadership to identify cost‑saving opportunities and support strategic decision‑making
