Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, LRV of Keolis Grand River (KGR), the Electro-Mechanical Technician will perform certain tasks within Preventive maintenance inspections, repairs . The Operations team is dedicated to all aspects of transit logistics and operational output of the Region of Waterloo’s successful ION Light Rail Transit (LRT) system - delivery of service levels, and customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine proper operation, and the extent of wear and/or damage to LRV equipment.
- Performing emergency repair work on rail vehicles in the shop, yard or main service line and involves responding to emergency calls either by riding the trains, or by driving to the scene in an emergency truck; inspecting, troubleshooting and, if possible, correcting/isolating problems while vehicles are in service.
