About the Role

As an Engineering & Construction Underwriter based in Toronto, you will lead risk assessment and business development for construction projects across Canada, including power generation, manufacturing, infrastructure, building construction and heavy civil works.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and underwrite new business in the engineering and construction sector with brokers and clients throughout Canada.
• Extend Swiss Re's market presence by assessing, proposing, and negotiating insurance conditions for large and mid‑sized construction projects.
• Collaborate closely with Canadian and global teams to ensure consistent client and broker relationships.
• Assess risks, coverage, terms and conditions while driving underwriting processes within appropriate risk management frameworks.
