About the Museum
For over 50 years, The Hangar Flight Museum has preserved and celebrated western Canada’s aviation heritage while inspiring future generations through education, storytelling, and discovery. Located in a historic RCAF British Commonwealth Air Training Plan hangar dating back to the Second World War, the Museum is home to an extraordinary collection of aircraft, artifacts, and stories that bring Canada’s aviation and aerospace history to life. Through its unique partnership with Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame, The Hangar Flight Museum connects the past with the future by engaging the community, sparking curiosity, and inspiring the next generation of aviators, explorers, and innovators. Following the launch of a new strategic plan, the Museum is building on its momentum with a bold ambition to become western Canada’s premier destination for aviation exploration, learning, and innovation.
