Step into the role of Kiipewii’Chego Advocate, offering wraparound support to First Nations families facing challenges in healthcare and child welfare systems. This full-time role prioritizes cultural identity and effective advocacy.
As the Kiipewii’Chego Advocate, you will work closely with the Director of Children & Families to coordinate critical support for expectant mothers and families. You will empower caregivers and ensure they have access to the resources necessary for thriving in their environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend case conferences and process client intakes
• Collaborate with Perinatal Support Workers to strengthen family sovereignty
• Connect families with Elders for cultural ceremonies
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions
• Advocate for family bonds through effective planning
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or Arts required
• Three years of relevant experience in Manitoba Child Services
