About This Role:
Geary County is in north-central Kansas. Junction City is the county seat and home to the Geary County Extension office. A staff of three agents and two office professionals serve the county’s 13,500 households.
Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Agents are jointly responsible to the director of K-State Research and Extension (represented by a designated administrator) and the local extension board.
This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to family and consumer sciences. Programming may include but is not limited to: family life, nutrition, food safety, parenting, childcare initiatives, communication, financial management, leadership, and health.
