About the Role
We are looking for a hands‑on recruiting leader to help scale Backblaze’s talent function across the US and globally. This role will lead an existing team of three recruiters while also serving as a strategic partner to the CHRO and senior leadership team on talent strategy, workforce planning, and market insights. It is a leadership role, but also a very operational one, with responsibility for building strong recruiter performance, improving hiring quality, and creating a more scalable recruiting infrastructure through AI, automation, and data‑driven processes.
The person will drive Director+ and executive hiring, manage agency partnerships with clear expectations and cost discipline, and help shape how Backblaze attracts technical talent across Engineering, Cloud, and AI/ML.
