Join the Office of the Worker Adviser in Ontario as a Health and Safety Worker Adviser, where you will educate and counsel non-unionized workers on safety laws and WSIB guidelines.
This role offers a chance to impact workers' lives positively, addressing regulations from initial claims through to WSIAT hearings. The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise in workplace health and safety, providing educational guidance, and advocating for members throughout their cases. You will coordinate complex cases and leverage strong communication skills to assist clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage files from early resolution to WSIAT appeals
• Advise and educate workers and organizations on safety laws
• Investigate claims by analyzing information and conducting interviews
• Advocate for clients during all appeal levels
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings or appeals
