Responsibilities
- Be responsible for site‑specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reporting.
- Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance with safety procedures and resolve incidents.
- Proactively identify and mitigate hazardous situations.
- Organize and conduct training programs (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, PPE, CPR/First Aid).
- Create, maintain, and educate staff on a safety‑first culture.
- Review subcontractors’ pre‑construction safety submittals and weekly safety documentation.
- Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project health & safety statistics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of safety construction experience.
- Ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.
- Working toward or already holding an NCSO designation with knowledge of OHS regulations.
