Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with ESA, OHRC, and HR policies
- Maintain employee records and update HR/payroll systems
- Liaise with Payroll regarding compensation, absences, and vacation tracking
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding activities
- Support employee orientation and HR administration
- Assist managers with HR-related projects and administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate HR databases, files, and training records
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience, preferably in a unionized environment
- Strong knowledge of ESA, OHRC, and employment legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with payroll systems; JD Edwards considered an asset
- CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset
