Job Description
SLR Canada is looking for a full-time Intermediate Ecologist to be based in our Calgary office. Additional locations in Alberta will be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support monitoring programs, environmental assessments, and permitting related to aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem components.
- Field work including environmental sampling and assessments: some local, and some remote requiring travel for up to two weeks or more at a time.
- Environmental data entry, management, and analysis, and report writing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in ecology, biology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Experience in wetland identification, delineation, and classification in accordance with the 2015 Alberta Wetland Classification System.
- Vegetation identification experience is considered an asset.
