The Opportunity:
The Property Accountant is responsible for adding value to BGO staff and clients by providing accurate and timely financial information that helps them to better manage their properties and budgets, make timely decisions, provide meaningful financial reports, and monitor and control cash flows.
What You Will Do:
- Handle full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of residential and mixed-use properties.
- Produce monthly Financial Statements according to IFRS/ASPE or as specified by client policy/requirements.
- Provide supplementary reporting as required by the client.
- Utilize budgets and other tools to analyze variances.
- Reconcile, analyze, and understand all Balance Sheet accounts.
- Prepare and record operating costs and realty tax adjustments monthly.
- Ensure all HST, GST, QST and other legislated taxes and assessments are reconciled and remitted on a timely basis.
