Intern in Organic Synthesis in Fragrance Industry
Work Location: Meyrin or La Plaine, Geneva, Switzerland
Internship: 6 months, starting September 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Work in the industrial chemical lab.
- Monitor processes, analyze reaction intermediates and products using GC, HPLC, NMR.
- Isolate and purify intermediates and final products via extraction, distillation, crystallization, and chromatography.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and set up new facilities.
- Record detailed experimental data in an electronic laboratory notebook.
- Follow SHE rules and good laboratory practices.
Profile / Requirements
- Student majoring in Master of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Good knowledge of organic chemistry and synthesis.
- Basic knowledge of analytical tools (NMR, MS, GC) and interpretation for structure elucidation.
