Responsibilities
As a Lead Instrumentation Designer, you are responsible for producing the drawings and lists that enable the E/I contractor to build your instrumentation design. Your scope ranges from complete fire, gas detection, and security systems to process control and the required telecommunications systems. You are given significant freedom to collaborate with specialists and arrive at a fully integrated design. Within the project team, you are the technical focal point: you safeguard quality, coach junior team members, and coordinate with other design teams. Thanks to your helicopter view, you maintain oversight and stay composed, even under increasing pressure.
