Lecturer (1 Year) School of Health and Exercise Sciences

Position Overview

Faculty bargaining position: Lecturer (1Year) in Health & Exercise Sciences, School of Health and Exercise Sciences, University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus. Full‑time appointment starting August12026 (or mutually agreed time). This non‑tenure track role has a one‑year term with the possibility of renewal based on funding and teaching performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach up to eight undergraduate or graduate sections per year, with the possibility of one or two summer courses.
• Deliver first‑through‑fourth‑year courses in the areas of social determinants of health, health program evaluation, human motor behaviour, lifespan physical and motor development, physical dimensions of aging, and concussion.
• Provide service to the School of Health and Exercise Sciences, Department, and University, including attendance at meetings and participation in program activities.
