Job Description
Canada Post is looking for two temporary, on-call Letter Carriers (Delivery Agent 1) in Port-Cartier, QC . As a delivery agent, you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels.
Responsibilities
- Sort and prepare the day's mail and parcel deliveries at the depot each morning
- Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle along your assigned route
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers by foot or vehicle, covering up to 20–25 km daily
- Work in all weather conditions including snow, rain, and extreme temperatures
- Return to the depot at end of day to unload incoming mail and parcels for future delivery
- Respond to on-call requests on short notice, including same-day call‑ins
