Looking for a MA/phlebotomist with Outpatient Pediatric experience and a flexible schedule. MA certification and CPT required.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Laboratory Assistant/Medical Assistant is responsible for a variety of specimen collections on children, both inpatients and outpatients, specimen processing, referral test analysis, preparation and shipping, registration and lab test order entry, hospital/departmental computer procedures, Microbiology specimen processing and departmental instrument maintenance. Under the direct supervision of an RN/licensed practitioner, the assistants (MA, PCA, and C.N.A) are responsible for providing and documenting nursing care for patients and associated tasks as delegated by the RN/licensed practitioner. It is the role of these assistant employees to partner with RN/licensed practitioner and other team members to provide optimal patient care.
