Job Description
Medical Lab Technologist
This is a Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week). The position is a Day Shift, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM; work days are Wednesday to Sunday.
Discipline: Microbiology. Start Date: ASAP. Union: OPSEU LAB collective agreement.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
- Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Perform, interpret and release results while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Identify incidents and non-conformities, participate in corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with evaluation and implementation of new technology.
- Participate in problem solving in work organization and workflow.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
