Overview
Morningstar is a community‑based initiative developed by Manitoba Education Indigenous Inclusion Directorate and the Winnipeg School Division. The program provides a network of services and supports for students and families of R.B. Russell Vocational High School. The Skaabe position is a key resource for the Morningstar program who reports directly to the principal and works collaboratively to provide resources and support to students and families.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and services to students and their families.
- Navigate social service systems and advocate with students and their families.
- Manage student case files and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with school administration, guidance counsellors, teachers, support staff and community organisations.
- Develop partnerships with collateral agencies, service providers and community supports. <...
