Overview
Become a Climate Strategy Intern with the Musqueam Indian Band and engage in developing community-centered climate initiatives. This full time, paid internship is designed for youth passionate about environmental stewardship. Targeted at individuals aged 16 to 30, this 8-week role involves working closely with the Title and Rights Division to analyze climate action initiatives and engage with the community on climate risks.
Responsibilities
- You will document findings, collaborate with the Climate Action Working Group, and ensure that climate strategies reflect Musqueam cultural and environmental needs.
- Interview staff about existing climate initiatives
- Analyze cooperative opportunities within current initiatives
- Assist in organizing community engagement events
- Summarize insights from community engagement in reports
- Attend and support meetings with the Climate Action Working Group
