Job Description
Nursery Person/Equipment Operator
POSITION DUTIES:
+ Accurately mix, incorporate fertilizer and shred soil for planting, heeling, and greenhouse needs according to established formulas
+ Load and haul soil, rock and other materials on trucks as needed and directed
+ Assist in loading and unloading B&B and container nursery stock as directed
+ Communicate problems, concerns or other pertinent information to supervisor or other personnel as necessary
+ Grade nursery roads as directed
+ Operate the following equipment in a safe, efficient, and effective manner: skid loaders, soil shredder, semi-tractor/trailer trucks, forklift, front end loaders, flattops, road grader, pesticide sprayers, fertilizer implements, farm tractors and others
+ Perform routine light maintenance on equipment on a daily or other scheduled basis as directed. Maintain equipment in safe working order. Communicate maintenance nee...
