Position Overview
The Orthopaedic Department at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC is seeking a full-time orthopaedic surgeon. The five surgeons on staff provide general orthopaedics, hip/knee arthroplasty, upper extremity and sports surgery coverage. The department looks for candidates with an interest in general community orthopaedics.
Responsibilities
- Provide general orthopaedics and coverage for hip/knee arthroplasty, upper extremity and sports surgery.
- Participate in an evenly distributed call schedule with an average call load of 1:5.
- Perform elective operating room work averaging one day per week.
- Assist in the hospital‑based cast clinic for one day a week, working with two certified cast technicians.
- Potential to share an office or set up an independent office.
