Job Description

Overview

Orthopedic Surgeons in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) provide trauma‑focused orthopedic surgical care for CAF members, both in Canada and overseas. They can lead the CAF Health Services, mentor, and educate other health‑care personnel.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide orthopedic consultation and care for CAF members in Canada.
  • Lead surgical or emergent care teams in Canada and deployed settings.
  • Educate and advise multidisciplinary teams on trauma and orthopedic care.
  • Maintain clinical currency by holding a position within a civilian health‑care facility.
  • Contribute to the development and application of health‑care policies within the CAF.

Work Environment
