Position Overview
This role requires painting, surface preparation, drywall taping and finisher work, and plaster repairs as necessary. Responsibilities include:

- Apply various types of surface covering such as paint, varnish and wallpaper.
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, removing old paint and wallpaper, patching, sanding, sealing, in readiness for surface covering.
- Performs function of drywall tape and finisher on all construction or renovations performed by department staff.
- Completes as necessary plaster repairs of a size normally associated with a plasterer on renovations to plaster wall carried out by the department staff.
- Applies surface covering with brush, roller or spray to achieve the time‑area standard.
