Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, the Payroll Accounting Manager will be responsible for company payroll remittances, payroll reporting both internal and external as well as financial account reconciliations in accordance with company and government policies.
This position is based in a Winnipeg or Edmonton office depending on the selected candidate's place of residence.
What You Will Be Working On
- Approve payroll remittances such as union dues, employer associations, tax authorities, workers’ compensation, and benefits, verifying accuracy and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Perform reconciliations on general ledger accounts and approve entries as required to balance accounts.
- Support month end / quarter end / year end and audit reporting requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports of payroll information to internal stakeholders.
