Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Community Services the Planner II administers the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw, overseeing a diverse range of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare responses to complex development proposals.
- Perform site visits and inspections.
- Respond to project inquiries and prepare correspondence to the general public, other City departments, governmental agencies, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports, requests for proposals, policies and procedures, correspondence and briefs for Senior Management, City Council and related committees.
- Undertake research, special studies and special projects related to land use policies, business development, land development, provincial and municipal legislation, including data collection and analysis.
