Job Description
General Accountant supervises 4 direct reports including accounting specialists in fixed asset control, capital investments US/MX, Mexico tax, expenses control, and payroll. The role ensures compliance with Mexican and international accounting standards, tax laws, and government regulations related to maquiladora programs, such as IMMEX. The accountant will handle financial and tax reporting, payroll and Fixed Asset Control (both Mexico and US).
Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Compliance- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Mexican GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with IMMEX, VAT Certification, and PROSEC programs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for both local and corporate requirements.
