The RNA Society
Job Description
About the Keane Lab
The Keane Lab (Biophysics Program, University of Michigan) is currently recruiting two Postdoctoral Research Fellows to investigate the structure and dynamics of functional noncoding RNAs and RNPs. Researchers use biochemical, cell biology, and biophysical techniques to characterize RNA structure, RNA‑RNA, RNA‑protein, and RNA‑small molecule interactions.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Lead independent research projects and serve as a mentor to graduate and undergraduate students.
- Apply biochemical, cell biology, and biophysical methods to study RNA and RNP structure and function.
- Apply new skills quickly and adapt to evolving research questions.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Experience in RNA biochemistry and/or structural biology, and a record of publishing papers.
