Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the area of Pancreatic Cancer Biophysics

UiT The Arctic University of Norway – Department of Physics and Technology – invites applications for a 3‑year fixed‑term postdoctoral research fellow in On‑Chip Bioimaging and Biophysical Analysis of Patient‑Derived Cancer Cells under the PANCHIP project, funded by Helse Nord.

The position is located at the main campus in Tromsø and will involve research on patient‑derived pancreatic cancer models using advanced in‑vitro and tumour‑on‑chip platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling and processing clinical pancreatic tumour biopsies (PDAC)
  • Isolation, selection, and expansion of primary PDAC tumour cells
  • Separation and characterization of stromal cell populations, including fibroblasts
  • Establishment, maintenance, and long‑term culture of patient‑derived tumour cells
  • Immortalisation of primary cancer cells (desirable)
