The Direct Material Purchasing Specialist is responsible for creating and executing sourcing strategies, identifying cost-saving projects and resource optimization opportunities through negotiation or engineering changes, while also ensuring the proper performance of the supply chain and measuring and analyzing financial risks with suppliers. Analyze and identify potential financial risks within the supply chain. Identify cost-saving projects such as negotiations, VE (Value Engineering), VA (Value Analysis), etc. Support the Materials Planning department with escalations during critical supply situations.
