The Cahill Group is seeking a motivated and collaborative Project Buyer to join the team supporting a major design-build project in St. John’s, NL. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure project that will have a meaningful and lasting impact across Newfoundland and Labrador, while gaining valuable experience supporting the delivery of a large-scale and complex build.
What will you do?
- Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Solicit quotations and negotiate price and delivery of materials and services, with a focus on total cost of acquisition.
- Review BOM, procurement plans, field requisitions, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Analyze risk within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies where appropriate and understand supplier capacity and effect on supply and planning.
