About the Opportunity
The City of Penticton is looking for a permanent full‑time Project Engineer based in Penticton, B.C. Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, the Project Engineer is a professional engineer who works independently and is responsible for varied municipal engineering assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsible and varied municipal engineering assignments that require general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.
- Utilize standard procedures and mediation of previous assignments to solve problems.
- Participate in and lead planning activities to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Complete independent design, studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
- Provide sound and authoritative work that is relied upon.
